company delaying visa

I got selected in one of the security company at Manama with salary of 750 BD, I was told that confirmation of my application is subject to clearance from Min of Interior which according to them will take 6 months. When i inquired about my original certificate they returned me. My question is whether it is true that this much time is taken by the Ministry and whether the salary offered is sufficient if I want to send 350BD back to my home ?
