Dear Betty,
You came on "on arrival visa" because you are having a residence visa from Bahrain. This on arrival visa can be extended for another 10 - 30 days in Dubai Immigration. Hence, my suggestion is for you to find a job in UAE.
I have recently extended a visa for a client who is having a residence visa from Bahrain. And it turned out fine.
Once you are hired, your employer will simply apply for a new employment visa. You need not to go out of the country, just ask your employer to do a process called "Visa position amendment or change status."
Your Bahrain residence visa and work permit, can be canceled by your employer from Bahrain.
