Riyadh... Not the best city for a foreign woman... But there is ways to enjoy it anyway :)

Well I think that yes, it may be hard, especially at the beggining. The first few days, you will have some problems to wear the abaya because it's not from your culture. If you can I will advice you to go to Jeddah some times, law are less hard in this city.
But anyway... If you goes with you boyfriend, already thinking how hard it will be, it will be hard indeed. You have to think positive! Think about what a rich culture you will discover! People you will meet! Arriving with that can of mind is much better than to be just complaining because you are affraid of what you don't know. If you don't want to discover arabian culture then don't go there, stay at home. But if you arrive with an open mind, then it can be only a benefic experience :) Hope my post was clear! I lived in arabian country several years so do not hesitate if you have questions ;)
