Bethune/height Recognition Program's 50th Anniversary Gala

Join us for a momentous occasion as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary Gala of the Bethune/Height Recognition Program (BHRP). Hosted by the NCNW New York State Sections, this event promises an afternoon of inspiration, reflection, and community impact.

Distinguished keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn Elizabeth Boyd, renowned American scientist, mechanical engineer, and former president of Alabama State University, will share insights and wisdom cultivated over a lifetime of advocacy and leadership. Rev. Dr. Gwendolyn Boyd is a lifelong STEM advocate and community servant. The former Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. national president from 2000 to 2004She is a Golden Life member of the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta. She earned both the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry degrees from Howard University. Additionally, she has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Lincoln University (2004), Bennett College (2004) and Kentucky State University (2019) and an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (2019).

This gala serves as the largest fundraising event of the year for the New York State National Council of Negro Women, with proceeds directly supporting programs dedicated to empowering and uplifting African American women and girls.
