Summer is coming to a close which means Sandy Actors Theatre's 2023-2024 season will soon begin!

On Friday, September 15, John Patrick's A Bad Year For Tomatoes will open at Sandy Actors Theatre, with performances continuing every Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 pm through Sunday, October 8.

Fed up with the pressures and demands of her acting career, the famous Myra Marlowe leases a house in the tiny New England hamlet of Beaver Haven and settles down to write her autobiography. She is successful in turning aside the offers pressed on her by her long-time agent, but dealing with her nosy, omnipresent neighbors is a different matter. In an attempt to shoo them away, and gain some privacy, Myra invents a mad, homicidal sister who is kept locked in an upstairs room, but who occasionally escapes long enough to scare off uninvited visitors. What could go wrong?

On Thursday, September 14 at 7:00 pm the Wy'East Artisans Guild will present their Gallery Opening "Autumn Garden". Join the artists as they share the inspiration as to how autumn in the garden conjures up fall leaves and flowers, a bountiful harvest and people enjoying a day in the garden. At 7:30 pm, immediately following the gallery opening, guests are invited to a full preview presentation of the play. Donations to the theater and guild are most appreciated.

Tickets for all performances are available online at sandyactorstheatre.com and at the door: $20.00 for adults; $18 for senior citizens, veterans, and students; and $15 for children. Concessions $2.00.
