Saudi work visa extension after stamping

I am doctor and have been offered a job in Saudi Arabia. My visa was stamped in September and was to travel but due to unforeseen circumstances couldn't travel. The 90 days validity period is about to expire. Is it possible to extend the validity by a week or two? If yes how? Help appreciated.
