Teach For America's Celebration Dinner

Teach For America Phoenix's annual gala, The Celebration Dinner, honors the impact and achievements of our corps members and alumni in schools and communities across Arizona. This year's event also marks our 30th anniversary in the Valley, and we are excited to celebrate this milestone alongside our longtime network supporters and community advocates. Teach For America Phoenix has a proud 30-year history in Phoenix, which is represented in the strength of our community and school partnerships, and the impact that our over 100 corps members and nearly 1,100 alumni are having every day. Informed and inspired by their students, many alumni choose to teach beyond their two-year commitments. Others lead from many sectors that shape the context and conditions in which schools operate: they are school and district leaders; policy makers; founders of advocacy organizations; social entrepreneurs; and business, philanthropic, and civic leaders working to make change. Our corps members and alumni work relentlessly every day, in partnership with our community, to ensure the students of Arizona have the opportunities they deserve.

Teach For America recruits outstanding and diverse leaders to become TFA corps members. Corps members commit to teaching for two years in a low-income community, where they’re employed by local schools and confront both the challenges and joys of expanding opportunities for kids. After two years, they become part of the TFA alumni network.
