Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Castle Gresley, Swadlincote November 2023

Funhouse Comedy Club, returns to The Mount Pleasant Inn, Swadlincote on Tuesday November 28th for another great night of laughter.

Topping the bill is Sol Bernstein, a legend on the circuit who has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Lenny Bruce and Doris Day. One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks, and three parts like nothing you've ever heard. The oldest Jewish comic in the business is a laugh a minute, delivering his lines with acidic humour and chutzpah.

Opening the night will be co-star of the 'The ParaPod Movie' and winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards four years running, the appealing and perceptive Barry Dodds. He has supported Jason Manford, John Bishop, Tape Face and Pete Firman on tour, as well as being Chortle Awards 2016 Nominee, Best Internet for 'The Parapod' Podcast, with Ray Peacock. He captivates everyone with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit. His mix of surprisingly uncanny and irrepressibly cheeky material never fails to fascinate them.

Completing the line-up is Lovell Smith with his witty observations on life as a millennial, covering everything from dating disasters to the banality of working life in the 21st Century.

Compere for the night the cheeky and friendly Stevie Gray with his boundless energy and mix of news and comedy.
