Flores de Mayo is a Spanish term which means Flowers of May. In the Philippines, it is a Spanish Catholic tradition honouring the Blessed Virgin by offering of prayers and flowers throughout this month, as May is known to be the month of flowers.
For the first time this year, the Filipino Catholic parishioners have decided to celebrate this wonderful event at St Boniface Church on May 27th at 10 am.
This event will be opened with a mass celebration by
Fr. Jufel Baldado, followed by coronation and flower offering to the Blessed Mother. There shall also be a solemn procession after which the whole congregation will share refreshments and be entertained with an array of display of talents at the parish hall.
So please do come and join us on May 27th from 10am-2pm at the St Boniface Catholic Church.
For those wish to offer flowers to the Blessed Virgin, we encourage you to kindly bring your own flower offerings.
