Westchester Waterfowl Sanctuary Viewing Platform

610 West 17th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501, United States Map

On August 13th, we'll meet to clean up a stretch of Chester Creek. The Clean Water Act turns 50 this year, and the Westchester Waterfowl Sanctuary Viewing Platform is officially open to the public, so there is a lot of reason to celebrate and do a little work to keep our water clean. We recommend folks arrive at 10:00am. At 10:15, we'll do a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the new Westchester Waterfowl Sanctuary Viewing Platform and say a few words about the Clean Water Act. Then, we'll start picking up garbage. Bags, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be provided. If you prefer to use a stick, please bring one. Please wear suitable shoes.
We recommend that you park at Valley of the Moon, and then walk over to the viewing platform as there is limited parking by the sanctuary. See map for details.
