We welcome acclaimed journalist and author, John N. Maclean, to help us celebrate the summer opening of The Paradise Center.

For 30 years, Maclean works as a diplomatic correspondent for the Chicago Tribune stationed in Washington, DC. Early in his career, he traveled extensively in the press pool following Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Maclean faced the same divided heart as his father, Norman Maclean, author of A River Runs through It: How to reconcile a professional life and family ties east of the Mississippi with an enduring love of Montana. The answer is addressed in John Maclean's recent book, Home Waters: A Chronicle of Family and a River. Maclean will read from this and some of his other writings including a series of books on wildfires and the lessons they hold for firefighters.

Admission is free. Donations are welcomed. Maclean's books will be available for purchase.
