I'm researching Tarragona remotely (from California!) as a possible place to retire. We love the idea of the smaller town feel, the coastal climate and the history of Tarragona. Also, the high speed rail station nearby is a big plus for travel, along with coastal local trains. We'd like to avoid owning a car and just rent/hire a car when we need it. We love to walk, and buses are fine for us, too.
I've been looking at rental prices in the area and I've noticed that Reus seems to be consistently less expensive than Tarragona. I'm just wondering - what are your impressions of the two cities when compared to each other? Tarragona is obviously on the coast and Reus isn't, but are there other differences in the "feel" or the culture of the two cities? Any feedback would be appreciated.
