What is the ruling on performing a nikah between 2 expats, fulfilling all the nikah requirements but not registering it. I read online that it isn't a legally recognized marriage. But seeing it fulfills the islamic requirements, is it valid for 2 expats to reside in the country being married without a registered nikah?
Is it a problem when going out / travelling through the country? Seeing in Sharia Law you are husband and wife. What are the consequences?
